The Law of attraction revealed itself to me in some strange ways. I wasn’t always a believer in the quantum physics/power of thought philosophy and in some ways, I’m still skeptical. But I have been introduced to the power of intentions and it makes me think and grasp a new range of knowledge continually manifesting itself in my life.
What is an intention? It’s similar to a goal in that you visualize something you wish to attain, but differs in many more ways. With an intention, you phrase your want or desire in your mind or on paper, making sure to phrase this intention in a positive light, without negative connotations.
“I want $100,000 in 12 months.” That's specific isn't it? It's meant to be. The idea is to put your want out into the universe, or to God, or to whomever you credit with your existence. Then focus on this want and release it. Don’t worry about how you’ll accomplish this goal, but trust the universe will deliver it for you.
The trick for this intention is to act upon the idea you receive from the universe. There is always a “how” involved, but it’s totally up to you to acknowledge it and put it into action. If you get out of bed and an idea comes to you—act on it. Don’t sit and think and analyze and rethink, you’ll only get into trouble. Some research is always involved, but many people never realize their dreams because they constantly think and never act. That’s how entrepreneurs make their money. They take that leap of faith and go for it. And so should you.
If you’ve read, The Secret, you’ll recall how David Schirmer joked about lining up parking spaces for himself whenever he’s out and about. When I first heard this I laughed with a big “yeah right let’s test this theory.” Well, it’s worked for me more often than not. I usually visualize which spot I want before heading out and if I don’t get that exact parking space, I get one that’s close.
My favorite memory concerning parking spaces happened during one trip to Barnes and Noble. I hadn’t visualized anything in the way of parking spaces on the way. When we got to the parking lot my daughter asked me if I’d set an intention for a spot. “No,” I relied. I hadn’t thought about it at all. “Well good,” she says, “because I did and it’s right there.” It’s amazing what the power of your thoughts does for you. Try it.
There are many “easy” intentions you can set for yourself. Start small. Ask for a flower, or a quarter, or seeing a particular car. Those are all fairly easy to attain. We’ve done this, and spotted European license plates in the middle of the Midwest! Then move on to tougher things. Keep in mind that nothing is “tough” for the universe and time does not exist. The trick is to teach this to your mind, where our conditioning teaches us that certain things are difficult, that other things can’t be done.
According the experts, we as humans use only 10% of our brains (I can think of people that use less than that!). Can you imagine what’s waiting for us in the other 90%? The Law of Attraction revealed itself to me a little at a time, only as much as I could handle. With trust and practice you’ll soon find yourself manifesting all sorts of things. Experiment and enjoy the great mysteries of your mind.

Law of Attraction Revealed: Thoughts and Feelings
This article is the second in my Law of Attraction Revealed Series. Thoughts and feelings are an important aspect of the Law. Why? Because they effect our surroundings in so many ways. People who focus on negative thoughts tend to lead very negative lives. Have you ever spoken
to anyone like this? We all have at some point. They complain about everything and everyone and they aren't very fun to be around. Their energy is so tainted by their thoughts there's no wonder their lives are a mess.
But why is this happening to them? Well, the quantum physicists tell us that our minds don't acknowledge negative words like "don't," or "not." So everytime you focus on a statement with one of these words, your mind deletes the negative words creating statements like this:
I don't enjoy failing tests.
I enjoy failing tests.
I don't want to be fat.
I want to be fat.
I want to live life with no debt.
I want to live life with debt.
Do you get the idea? Have you ever known anyone desperate to find the love of their lives? They involve themselves in one bad relationship after another. Eventually these folks give up and stop seeking true love. What happens in many cases? They find their love when they
aren't focusing on it. Hmmm...But doesn't that go against what I've been saying about our thoughts? No, because I'm certain while they focused on their love, they also focused with negativity. They tried forcing the universe to deliver what they wanted. They were focusing
on the "how" instead of acting like they already had what they desired. Deep isn't it? It's ok. We'll discuss this aspect of the Law in another article.
So how in the world are you supposed to monitor the thousands or millions of thoughts running through your head on a daily basis? Impossible right? It is. But you can help yourself by controlling your feelings. Now some would argue that even that is impossible, but I've found it
very useful. Whenever I find myself in a low place, dwelling on the negative in my head or stressing because of something I'm worried about, I simply make a shift in my brain. I turn on some peppy music or watch the comedy channel for awhile. I may pull up You Tube videos.
Anything that will lift my mood and help me get a handle on my thinking. And it works every time.
The Law of Attraction may feel greek and unnatural for you at this point. That's ok. These articles only scratch the surface. For more in depth information, please click here to uncover the full power behind the Law of Attraction Revealed.

Law of Attraction Revealed: Like Attracts Like
The Law of Attraction Revealed is a series of articles I’m writing covering the main principles of the Law of Attraction. Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last few years, you’re most likely familiar with the term. In a nutshell, the Law of Attraction states that “like attracts like.” This principle goes further to describe how our thoughts directly effect manifestations in our lives. Have your ever heard the phrase, “bad things happen in threes?” I would like to believe this is bogus, but then I critically examine events in my life and realize there’s some shred of truth to the phrase. You fail a test. The next thing you know you’re arguing with a friend. The next day, your car dies or you get into an accident.
Conversely, when your mind is focused on happiness and joy, good things happen. You earn a promotion at work. The love of your life enters your world. You hear from an old friend. You soar to great heights, surpassing anything you would have imagined for yourself. It makes you wonder what’s really happening with your world. Let’s examine some reasons for these issues.
Like Attracts Like. Have you ever heard the phrase, “birds of a feather flock together?” I’ve seen the manifestations of this principle in more than one way. The people closest to you are generally those who function on the same frequency. What does this mean? Well, positive folks tend to hang with other positive folks. Why? Truthfully, negative personalities have a draining effect on positive beings. Does this mean you should end every relationship you have with complainers, whiners, or the depressed? Others may argue with this but I say no. It does mean, however, that you must learn to detach yourself from the energies surrounding these situations as much as possible. Don’t allow them to dominate your thoughts. We desperately need positive influence in our world today. We should continue helping those less fortunate and those in need. Just resist the temptation to claim their issues as your own, thereby inviting their negativity into your psyche.
Energy. It’s everywhere. Even scientists tell you that we couldn’t exist without it. In the book, The Secret, James Ray describes energy in this way, “….can never be created or destroyed, it always was, always has been, everything that ever existed always exists, it’s moving into form, through form and out of form.” So what determines what sort of energy surrounds human beings?
Our Thoughts. Remember the discussion about the phrase, “bad things happen in threes?” That’s right. What’s happening in our minds when rotten things continue happening? We’re focusing on the negative. We aren’t just focusing on it, we’re feeling it with all of our energy. We may also feel listless, tired, or even physically ill because of our thought processes. I’ve cured an oncoming cold or infection many times just by changing my thoughts.
What does all this mean? To me it proves the importance of our thoughts affecting our surroundings. As I think on my life, I clearly notice instances where I’ve allowed negativity into my mind. In some cases it drags me down, affecting my own emotional being. When I’m able to reverse these emotions, however, I regain the joy I want in my life.
